We awoke yesterday morning to threatening skies but no rain. We knew it would not be worth trying to get to Mt. Washington so we headed for
The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center. This is a smart and well laid out center that definitely caters to children with areas featuring all types of wildlife, Black Bears, Deer, Otters, (no Moose as they do not do well in captivity) and Bald Eagles (pictured left). This shot was taken through glass with a Nikon D200 and a 70-300G lens. We had lunch at
Walters Basin overlooking the Lake. BA and I both had Pulled Pork, mine on a baked potatoe and BA's on a sandwich. Delish! From there we were off to the
Town Of Meredith and a village of shops on Lake
Winnipesaukee. Dinner was at
Fratello's in Lincoln. I had lobster ravioli in cream sauce and BA had lasagna. We downed that with a nice Sangiovese! This morning the sun is shining and we are off to
The Cannon Aerial Tram and then it is off to Sturbridge MA.
