Lucern to Paris..The Last Leg of Our Journey
On Thursday Morning we left Lucern, Switzerland to Paris, our last leg of this terrific trip. Mostly a drive of around 400 miles we headed towards the French border and the city of Basel. It marked our last view of the Rhine River as we crossed the border. We made a few rest stops and upon arriving at our Hotel we got ready for a Parisienne dinner and illumination tour of Paris. The dinner included choices of Quiche, Scallop Pâté or snails as starters and a beef stew or salmon with cream sauce as main courses. French desserts and coffee ( the best coffee is in Europe) topped it all off.
After dinner we boarded the bus for an evening tour of illuminated Paris. the Arch de Triumph, The Louvre, The Opera House, embassies, etc. We were able to get off the bus to take shots of the Eiffel Tower (pictured)
I write this as we get ready for a morning tour through Paris and Notre Dame and then this afternoon will be Versailles.
