Our Site at Pandeon Ridge |
Next up was a relaxing time spent on the
gulf shores of Alabama. Staying at an upscale RV resort called
Pandeon Ridge we were treated to beautiful paved patios, 2 swimming pools, hot tub I( too darn hot to use) and privacy. This place was empty. We assume as the snowbirds arrive it will fill up but in the meantime quiet was the name of the game. So was eating! Our first night we headed over to
Doc's Seafood Shack. Place was packed with a long wait but the host asked if we cared about sitting at the bar 2 seats were available and grab them quick! You don't have to ask us twice so we did! I had fried oysters while BA had some other landlubber dish I couldn't name!.

Gulf Highlands |
Next day we headed towards the Gulf Highlands. Looks like a cross of Outer Banks or Lavallette.
Pretty and lots of rentals or purchases. Next we headed east towards the Florida State Line and what they call "Flori-Bama. We were able to stop and dip our toes in the very warm gulf

Other restaurants included the
Villagio Grill At The Wharf, Breakfast at
Another Broken Egg Cafe and of course who could pass up a very casual dinner on the bay at
Flora-Bama Ole River Grille.
Great week to relax before heading to Tallahassee....a layover stop before our next destination. St Augustine!
