A Drive Along The Connecticut River Scenic By Way

Yes! The Connecticut River which stretches from the Long Island Sound north to within 300 feet of the Canadian border. We took that byway to see the John Wingate Weeks estate at the top of Mt. Prospect. The view in the picture is from the top looking east at the presidential mountain range and Mt. Washington.

We drove north to about an hour of the canadian border and then back passing an old railroad bridge (pictured below) along the river. Dinner was at the Horse and Hound Inn just minutes from the campground. Our first dinner "out" since we left home. Today off to Lage George!
