Except for Wednesday our weather here in OBX has been exceptional. Today was probably the best of them all. What better time to take a boat ride. Our trip took us from
Collington Harbor towards Roanoke Island, under the causeway bridge leading to Manteo, and then continuing south past the island and Wanchese Harbor, past the
Bodie Lighthouse, to the turn off that heads to the
Oregon Inlet. On our return trip we stopped in the
Town Of Manteo, on Roanoke Island for lunch. (See my crew pictured left. They do have to be fed you know). A short stroll to
Roanoke Island Festival Park led to yet another gift shop! As we departed Manteo Harbor we were visited by a school of dolphins swimming near our boat! Dinner was at
Kelly's Restaurant where we dined on all things seafood and, of course, prime rib for BA.
