Southwest to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse then Northeast to Ogdensburg

Tibbetts Point Lighthouse

Thursday morning BA, Nina and I set off for Tibbetts Point Lighthouse. Set on the St Lawrence River where it meets with Lake Ontario it is the only original Fresnel lens that still operates on the lake. Beautiful views of  Wolfe Island Canada across the river with the numerous wind turbines.

Cape Vincent Park

We stopped for a picnic lunch at Cape Vincent Park on the way back. It has views of the St Lawrence River and Canada. The shot above is a pano from the Iphone.

Osprey In Nest in Hammond NY

We headed North East and made various stops along RT 12 with views of the River. At one turn off outside of Hammond, we spotted this Osprey Nest. There were actually two of them in the nest.

We continued to Ogdensburg before turning back.

Dinner at 1000 Islands Club

Dinner was at the 1000 Island Club on Wellesley Island. I had Caesar Salad and Halibut while BA had a beet salad and short ribs
