Our 6 night journey from Vero Beach, FL to Oceanport NJ began with a 4 hour trip to the Jacksonville North / St.Mary's KOA which is actually in Kingsland, GA. As we are traveling during the Covid-19 pandemic, check-in is very different. Staff came out to us with a packet that was passed through the window. There are three kinds of KOA.... Journey, Holiday and Resort. To qualify for one of the "brand designations" the campground has to have certain amenities (see link). This was a Holiday, but of course, none of the amenities were open due to the virus. This campground offers a complimentary hot breakfast. That was a first for us. Out of a great deal of caution, we did not partake in breakfast but did see many folks going in for food. They also offered delivery to your site. This park was an easy on/off from Exit 1 on I-95. Wi-Fi was offered but as in most campgrounds it was limited. No cable but we did find a few antenna channels. They should offer a "basic" cable package but maybe if you are out in the woods "off the grid" on your luxury patio you don't need it. Overall, a good overnight spot.
Keep an eye out for Leg#2 our review of New Green Acres RV Park Walterboro, SC.
