To The Top of Mount Washington

After breakfast we headed out for an afternoon visit to the top of Mount Washington. Evidently the truck is not allowed on the Mt Washington Auto Road so we decided on the Cog Railway. It is about a 40 min ride and they give you an hour at the top. We really lucked out as it is clear at the top only about 30% of the time. We had wonderful views going up, down and at the top although the temp was 45 degrees with 30 mile an hour winds and a wind chill of 35 degrees.

In the evening we had our friends The Lydons back to our site where we barbecued and chatted by an open fire. Nice!
