Off To The West Coast
It has been awhile since my last post. Not much has been happening on the photography front as I spent the last 8-10 weeks involved with the musical Fiddler On The Roof.
We are traveling with our friends 'Fred and Ethel" with our first stop being San Francisco and two days in the Sonoma area. "Fred "has a new Nikon D80 and it will be fun matching shots with him. Our arrival proved to be a little hairy as the flight was smooth as silk but leaving the airport with our "Thrifty" rent a car would be a nightmare. Suffice it to say I would not use them again, as after an hour of waiting for a car we did not order we were told they did not have a one for us "right now" and we should wait to be called. As the steam evaporated around our ears we sauntered down to our friendly Alamo agent Peter and were lucky enough to get a car we wanted for not much more than the original Thrifty price. After driving to Sonoma and spending the rest of the day with "Fred's" brother and sister-in-law, and a wonderful dinner at The Girl and the Fig, we finished the evening on the porch at our first Bed and Breakfast The Glenelly Inn to watch the sunset.
